InnerLink Executives Speak on Best Practices in Health Promotion at the Highmark Foundation's Foundations for Success Symposium

Lancaster, PA – As part of the Highmark Foundation’s Foundations for Success Symposium, InnerLink CEO, Robert Gillio, M.D., and Chief Academic Officer, Michael Curley, Ed. D., speak on best practices in health promotion. Dr. Gillio shares his views on tools and strategies that foster systems change to strengthen the public health infrastructure. Through his talk, Dr. Gillio explores how to institute change at the ground level through school-based programs. Dr. Curley shares his views on collecting meaningful data through ongoing evaluation to illustrate impact.

On Thursday, March 22, 2012 and Friday, March 23, 2012 invited guests in Pittsburgh and Harrisburg have the opportunity to explore health promotion and the lessons learned to bring about positive change as discussed by a panel of experts. The Foundations for Success Symposium by Highmark Foundation brings together the Signature Partners of its Highmark Healthy High 5 initiative for two days of celebration and learning. The symposium celebrates the success of the Highmark Healthy High 5 initiative and, more important, explores and explains the critical lessons learned throughout the five-year program to help bring positive change.

As a signature partner of the Highmark Healthy High 5, InnerLink developed Health eTools for Schools®. Health eTools for Schools is a secure, web-based data management system designed to monitor student health and fitness parameters, help schools meet wellness mandates, and support a culture of wellness. Applauded as leading-edge, the program harnesses technology with best practices to provide online resources that help the entire school community create a healthier learning environment. By combining best practices in data aggregation with cutting edge technology and engaging content, InnerLink delivers software as a service in an effort to optimize health.
